Top Ten Tuesday (114): Bookish Things

Top Ten Tuesday Bookish ThingsTop Ten Bookish Things I Want That Aren’t Books

Aka, that time when I wanted ALL THE THINGS from Etsy.

Bookish ThingsFriends, I have ALWAYS, ALWAYS wanted a stamp for my books. Not because I want to mark my territory and keep people from taking my stuff; I often feel like getting a stamp would be like saying that I don’t want to give my books to people because I WANTS THEM ALL RETURNED. (Even though I probably do.) No, I want this stamp from Etsy shop plurabelle because I think it’s pretty as all get out. That is all.

Bookish ThingsDon’t tease me with things that are letterpressed, guys. Because I can’t even with that stuff. It feels so lovely in my hands and I love that it always seems handmade, even when maybe it’s not. Plus, these bookmarks from Etsy shop littlethingsstudio have these great quotes on them, and the reverse is super gorgeous, too.

Bookish ThingsHey, do you guys remember that time I wanted something from Etsy that wasn’t super expensive? Lulzzzz me neither. Yes, this vintage card catalog/typsetters cabinet from fleavintage is over $300. But I LOOOOOVE the way it looks, and I am DYINGG over those handles. Like, someone resuscitate me.

Bookish ThingsHave I mentioned to you guys before that my sister and I are named after characters from LITTLE WOMEN? We are. My sister’s name isn’t on this cross-stitch, but mine is! (Her name is Laurie.) I’ve seen things like this before, but never purchased them, and I love the wood frame on this one from ThePrimitiveHare!!

Bookish ThingsThese bookends from KnobCreekMetalArts are SO FREAKING FUN. First of all, they have a HOGWARTS (even thought they just call it a wizard school). Second of all, I love that dragon and the knight. I LOVE IT. And the Headless Horseman?!? It’s honestly too bad that I really have nowhere to put these because I think they’re super cute and clever. You should go check out the rest of them, friends. They really are fantastic.

Bookish ThingsHave you guys picked up any of these AWESOME bookish candles from Frostbeard? Can’t recommend them enough. They have so many fun scents! This one here, Sassenach, is from one of my favorite books ever, OUTLANDER, and it smells lovely. They also have Dumbledore’s Office and a whole slew of Harry Potter-scented candles, Winterfell, Sherlock’s Study, Old Books, Mockingjay, and a ton more.

Bookish ThingsFriends, I love looking at the bookish clothing from Out of Print. It’s t-shirts and sweatshirts and other things that have out of print book cover editions of classics plastered all over them. This PRIDE AND PREJUDICE sweatshirt has always been a fave of mine because I love the cover it uses. They used to have it in a purple color that I LOOOOOVED, but alas. Only gray now.

Bookish ThingsSo, TeacupPiranha has some REALLY awesome bookish travel posters, but I was drawn to the colors in this one. Have to get some A Song of Ice and Fire love up in here! Also, I love how the two end ones are “Ice” (Winterfell) and “Fire” (Targaryen). I mean…

Bookish ThingsIsn’t this tote from OneBirdBlue so adorable?! It’s got a bookworm on it! Plus it looks pretty sturdy, and I always appreciate a sturdy tote.

Bookish ThingsThis print of James and Lily Potter by Burdge is so sweet, amirite? I can’t remember if it’s a thing from the books, but I love it, and I love the red umbrella.

So that’s more than ten things! Oh well. It could’ve been way more than this, too! What do you guys think?

Comments

  1. The Sassenach candle – that’s amazing! And I love the Game of Thrones poster.

  2. I love Frostbeard’s candles so much. I have the Shire and Dumbledore’s Office! I need to order some more soon. I love that GoT poster. It is really nice!!!

    • AHHH! The Shire!! I can’t remember if that was part of my most recent order. I know I got Sassenach and Old Books (which actually smells really good), Ravenclaw, and…ack! Can’t remember. But I can’t wait to get the Shire! It’s maybe my favorite fantasy place!

  3. I’ve been on the hunt for cute bookends for my mantle and I think I will check out the Etsy shop you feature here. I also love the bookworm bag and the travel poster. Great list…though my bank account will not be happy.

    • Aren’t those bookends too cute for words?! You should definitely see their other ones. They have a bunch that look like animals or plants going through the books in between each book end. I just thought they were super adorable and fun. Glad you like them too!

    • Between Etsy and Amazon, I should just basically stay off the internet. I love that sweatshirt! I’m so bummed that they don’t have the purple anymore! But it’s still so cute.
