Tripping Over April

April

I’m behind on everything bloggy lately, friends! I’m hoping to get caught up a little bit this weekend, though, so bear with me, ok? *hugs* You guys are the best.

In the meantime, I want to shout out some books that I’m DYINGGG to read this month!! Prepare yourselves, friends, because the next two months? ALL THE AWESOME BOOKS. THEY ARE COMING.

book cover Sekret Linsday SmithSekret: Sekret #1 by Lindsay Smith (April 1 | Macmillan Childrens)

Russian mafia. I cannot. Paranormal Russian mafia? DOUBLE CANNOT.

Book cover Dreams of Gods and Monsters Laini TaylorDreams of Gods and Monsters: Daughter of Smoke and Bone #3 by Laini Taylor (April 8 | Little, Brown)

Reading this one right now, actually. Friends, I’m like 100 pages in and every time I pick it up, I get tingly excited.

Book cover Open Road Summer Emery LordOpen Road Summer by Emery Lord (April 15 | Walker Childrens)

I will never ever turn down the chance to read about road trips, or cute contemps, or debuts. BONUS! This book has all three, as well as a super fun-sounding music angle and some pretty sweet buzz.

Book cover House of Ivy & Sorrow Natalie WhippleHouse of Ivy and Sorrow by Natalie Whipple (April 15 | Balzer + Bray)

I’ve seen some meh things about this book, but I’m still intrigued by it. The magic house and the curse–I can’t. Those are things that always appeal to me so strongly.

Book cover What I Thought Was True Huntley FitzpatrickWhat I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick (April 15 | Dial BFYR)

I was a big fan of Huntley Fitzpatrick’s debut, MY LIFE NEXT DOOR, so I’m very much looking forward to her second book. Summer’s in Nantucket, friends, are RIPE for contempy goodness.

Book cover Hero's Guide to Being an Outlaw Christopher HealyThe Hero’s Guide to Being an Outlaw: The League of Princes #3 by Christopher Healy (April 29 | Walden Pond Press)

If you are ever in need of some laughs, THIS is the series to start. You will literally chuckle every other page. It’s so dang fun and humorous and clever.

Book cover Nash Jay CrownoverNash: Marked Men #4 by Jay Crownover (April 29 | William Morrow)

*fans self* THESE BOOKS. Also, I don’t know if you can tell from this picture, but his eyes are legit like indigo. The feels and the seksi times in these books are out of the this world. Incredibly fun books with really wonderful characters.

What books are YOU looking forward to this month, my dears?

Comments

  1. So many! The Prisoner of Night and Fog, What I Thought Was True, Sunrise, and Don’t Look back especially. I liked but didn’t love Sekret; the writing is gorgeous though!

  2. I just finished HOUSE OF IVY AND SORROW this morning and it is definitely worth the read. I mean it’s a paranormal stand alone. You can’t lose!

  3. YESSSSSSSS. All the awesome books are coming! I really loved Sekret and Nash. Hope you love them too.

Like all of these books are on my TBR and I am hoping I can get to them soon.

Besides that, The Queen Of The Tearling is on my TBR list for this month because yay chunky fantasy!

  4. What I Thought Was True is absolutely EXCELLENT and does not disappoint. As for House of Ivy and Sorrow, I’m so drawn to the cover I want it based on that alone!

I also really want to read Dorothy Must Die, even though I know that already came out!
