September Recap

September was a big month for the books, friends. This is partly because my birthday is in September, so I always give myself a couple of bookish presents, hence the awesome hauls for my kindle and the print copies. But I also read lots of great books this month–HUZZAH!

recap

NETGALLEY

So, I know this is a TON of books, guys. But most of them were kindle deals that I snapped up on the recommendation of people who know good books, or sometimes I get a little obsessed with books and need to have ALL THE VERSIONS, or they were preorders. Psh, like I need to explain this to you all. THE BOOKS. I NEEDS THEM.

recapFriends, CROWN OF MIDNIGHT is one of the most legit sequels I’ve read in a looooong while. Props, Sarah J. Maas.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPY LOOKS LIKE is a very cute contemp!

Speaking of legit sequels, Maggie Stiefvater can basically do no wrong right now. THE DREAM THIEVES was super.

Trish Doller was an auto-buy after just one book, but WHERE THE STARS STILL SHINE solidified her spot.

I know I’ll probably be in the minority, but I liked ROSE UNDER FIRE miles more than CODE NAME VERITY.

Comments

  1. I LOVE THIS WHOLE POST and ALL OF THE BOOKS!! How do I not know anything about Fingerprints of You, it looks interesting!! Also I love how pretty your flowers and pictures are! 🙂

I can’t wait to read about all of the books, lady!

  2. Hooray hooray hooray!!! ANYTHING for you, my dear! What a lovely September it was!!!

  3. Wow, you go some great books this month! I really want to read Pawn and Being Sloane Jacobs, they sound so good. And Cress…I have ARC envy right now over that one. A Long, Long Sleep is really good, yet very disturbing. That book has stayed with me for a long time. The Ruby Red series is great, hope you enjoy it. Have fun reading!

  4. Wow! You’ve been busy this month! Yay for Antigoddess!! I bet Angelfall would be cool on audio. You’ll have to let me know how that goes! I have yet to listen to an audiobook. Don’t know why I never have. haha I’m kind of scared. I also need to get going on the Lucky Harbor series. Everyone keeps yelling at me to read some Jill Shalvis!

  5. The Sky Is Everywhere on audio? That should be interesting! But eeep, I super loved that book! Jandy Nelson is amazing! <3 So cool, my birthday was on September too! Seems like a lot of bloggers were born during that month! (I celebrated my birthday alongside 4 other book bloggers, can you believe that?)
